Hey,
CARE is a global humanitarian organization that provides disaster reliefs, saves lives, and assists in achieving social justice. The organization mostly puts its focus on empowering women and girls because they have the power and will to uplift the whole family and community at large. It has programs and policies to assist in poverty situations for people to become self-sufficient and rebuild lives. Due to its non-religious and non-political affiliations, it is not discriminative. Blake Mycoskie started a business for manufacturing shoes, which was a profitable business to enable him to give out shoes to needy children. For every pump manufactured in his company, an extra one is given away. He opted to go the ‘for profit’ way to invest the initial funds into the project and, with time, be able to sustain his noble cause. Blake also donates through giving glasses and medical treatment, clean water supply, and bags donations to the less fortunate.

As Blake Mycoskie recommends, other organizations should follow suit and expand the scope of charitable impact in the world. If most companies considered a deed of charitable works, it would attract more customers to purchase their products hence getting large profits. The practice of organizations giving back appeals a lot to the partners hence attracting major support and generates media attention, which can be a marketing strategy. It also inspires the employees since they feel a part of the good deeds. CARE reaches out to over 122 million people over the world and offers plans that include microfinancing, water, agriculture, education, health, and emergency responses. Some of the strategies that Helene Gayle CEO of CARE says they intend to use include, finding out underlying causes of poverty in the world and offering long-term impact solutions.
