Society as a single global society
Sociologists define society as a group of individuals or people who interact with each other, have a common territory and the same culture. We can also define society as a group consisting of two or more individuals who intermingle and identify themselves with each other. Society as a single global society can, therefore, be defined by two major elements, which include the notion that society is a global essential and the notion that society is important. Therefore, this essay will describe society as a single global society and differentiate and explain the concept of differentiation by the function of a society.
Society as a single global society
First, society as a single global society can be described by the notion that global is important. That is, the whole world or the globe can not be all about one state or nation, despite how big it is or how influential it is. Global society it has to be international. However, this can occur or happen when many nations and countries are interconnected with each other. This implies that whenever something occurs or happens in one nation, it is also felt in other parts of the world (Hagen, 2002). For instance, when china’s country experienced currency devalues, it is something that was felt or affected in other parts of the world.
Secondly, the description of society as a global society can be explained or described by the notion that society is essential or important. Despite the fact that people move to other parts of the world, they do interact or intermingled with other people who have the same commonality that makes them understand and stay with each other. All people around the world have some common things that are vested not only to one individual but also to each other (Hagen, 2002). Therefore, this makes the feeling of society. This implies that all people have the same mentality of society across the globe.
How global society is organized
Functional differentiation implies that every social group or society has different ways of solving issues of rationality, but any solution is perceived to depend on neglect and boundaries. Therefore, functional differentiation has brought the idea of self-justification and complementary descriptions (McNeely, 2012). This, therefore, justifies the disadvantages and costs of modernization through the overwhelming of surplus welfare.
Over the decades and in every place in the universe, people organize themselves into social groups that have rules to guide their living and behaviors. Society is, therefore, a name that is given to such organized social groups. In a society, there are institutions such as kin, relationships, marriage, family, division of work, gender and age, childcare, and families. However, customs or rules that governor control social behavior in such groups vary across the world. In addition, societies across the glove are organized based on the division of work or labor, and the process of decision making. Modern societies, therefore, provides economical protection, protection to the people, law as well as order and make sure that every individual in the social group feels a sense of belonging (Luhmann, 1997). Normally, each group that makes a society evolves with time by adapting to changes like evolving technology.
Also, social groups or society can be organized through how studying how individuals live in such social groups together, how economists relate social behavior to the economy, and how sociologists relate modern society to human behavior (Luhmann, 1997). The social organization helps people to understand social issues from race to cultural differences among different communities.
