You must aim to understand the puppy first before imposing rules that they might not be capable of internalizing after all!

What  Criteria Should You Follow to Stop Biting from Puppies?

  1. Discourage mouthing as much as possible.

Do not allow your puppy to chew on your fingers or toes or other things like furniture or even clothes.

This action is encouraged to notify the puppy that they are inflicting pain or discomfort. Puppies have feelings too and can recognize when their owners are not too pleased with what they are doing.

  1. If they don’t stop with the nibbling, then you can result in giving it some time out in a corner or somewhere else where it will not hurt itself. Similarly to humans, this is meant to help the puppy reflect and realize their immediate prior action cannot be tolerated.
