Use specific examples from lectures and assigned literary and visual texts to support and illustrate the claims you make. Papers are due in my office by noon on May 13. Papers must be at between 1.5 and 2.0 pages in length. Use a separate title page for your name, paper title (if you have one, etc.) Papers should be free of grammatical and spelling errors. See the “Grading Criteria for Short Papers” on the syllabus. Papers must be printed in Times Roman or Times New Roman font (12 point), double- spaced, and use one-inch margins top, bottom, and sides. Quotations of more than three lines must be indented and single-spaced. Do not quote any texts other than assigned texts written by medieval authors. Citations should use the following format: (Tristan and Iseult, p. 75) or (Inferno, p. 16). If you use a version of a cited text other than the one assigned for the course, you should still use this format but provide all bibliographical information on a separate bibliography page appended to your paper.
