The Beatles Success
The Beatles were an English band that was established in Liverpool in the 1960s. The line-up comprised of the John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. The band was integral to the 1960s developments of the counterculture as well as music recognition. Although all the members contributed to the success of the band, Ringo Star is known to have led to Beatles’ enormous success. Although he was regularly mocked for being unnoticed by the Beatles, he left an impact on pop culture during his time.
Ringo saved the Beatles from a destiny worse than Best. At one point, John Lennon diminished the significance of Pete Best saying that they only keep since they needed a drummer for their performance in Hamburg. In August 1962, the manager of the Beatles called Best in his office and fired him. Bringing Ringo as the drummer was the main business. Bringing Ringo on board as the drummer brought many positive reviews during their shows (Dominic). In 1963, the Beatles experienced increased popularity in Britain. For instance, in January 1963 their song “Please Please Me” was the second in the UK chart and got a successful appearance on television where they got numerous positive reviews about Ringo. Later in 1964, “I love Ringo” collar pins were listed as the bestselling Beatles merchandise. Additionally, the placing of Ludwig symbol on the bass drum of Ringo’s American import drum kit gave the company the greatest publicity making it the dominant manufacturer of drums in North America.
The two popular Beatles films could not be popular without Ringo Starr. He was recognized by the audience as the best actor. For instance, the most memorable scene in “A Hard Day’s Night” is when Ringo takes his camera and walks along the river with a boy he encounters on his way (Dominic ). Ringo shows melancholy for the simple life and a sense of loneliness serving as a counterpoint to the giddiness that is demonstrated in the rest of the movie. Therefore, the success of the Beatles could not be enormous without Ringo Starr.
