Physics and Natural Science

Global climate change shows the transitional state of the atmosphere temperatures over a while (Zehr, 2016). It’s generally the rise of surface temperatures in the universe. Climate change is mainly caused by global warming, which in turn is a result of the greenhouse effect or even human activities. The greenhouse effect, however, has an advantage in creating a livable climate on earth. It’s vital as it is responsible for trapping any radiation from the sun using the greenhouse gases. This way, it acts as a blanket around the earth and thus protecting the earth from harmful rays. Apart from that, it holds on to some earth’s heat so that it does not escape, and therefore it keeps the earth warm and gives it a livable climate (Kjellstrom, 2016). However, the enhanced greenhouse effect has a significant impact on global climate change. The balance of the earth’s climate has been interfered with due to the rise in greenhouse gas concentrations. For instance, many industries have an increased burning of fossil fuel, which emits carbon footprint gasses such as carbon into the atmosphere. Carbon is a greenhouse gas whose concentration increases, and as a result, the earth’s temperature also rises.

Human activities are the primary cause of the rapid climate change that is experienced on the earth. The industrial revolution introduced many industrial processes on the planet. Many of these industries released gases such as chloro-fluoro-carbons, which in turn increased greenhouse gas concentrations (Evans, 2019). Aside from that, the world is experiencing a rapid population growth that has led to more extensive agricultural practices that, in turn, increase greenhouse gas concentrations. These human activities have led to a rapid increase in the earth’s temperature, thus the unfavorable climate change. With this drastic climate change, it would be crucial for every family to work towards reducing the amount of carbon footprint emitted to the atmosphere. One of the easiest ways to achieve this is by encouraging family members to buy food in bulk and use reusable containers (Evans,2019). Apart from that, the family members could opt to drive less to reduce emitting gases, and instead, they can walk or take public transport. If these measures are followed correctly, then there would be reduced global climate change.
