Hi Dayan,
I agree with you that change is inevitable within any company or organization. The management should ensure that they support the action so that the workers wholly accept it. Sometimes change is not fully supported as it brings about new culture and practices in the organization that employees may not be familiar with. I also agree that there are instances when there is resistance among the employees when they feel that the change significantly affects them. I believe the impact of the change may cause either the acceptance or denial of the new change. Some companies do not get to address new changes properly to their management or staff, and I believe this may be one of the problems why employees or management may not receive the new policies well. Proper communication is important in any company or organization. This may be the difference between companies with good relationships with their workers and those that don’t.
Hi Roese,
Thanks for this great piece on what most people are going through. I agree with you that a lot of people experience burnout while at their places of work and while carrying out their day to day activities. I am sorry for how you experienced burnout at some point in your life because I know it’s not the best feeling for anyone to experience. When people are experiencing burn out, and they do their work just for the sake of the paycheck, it affects their overall output at their places of work. Trying to balance two things often ends up failing at both and depression. It is true that as individuals, we also need time for ourselves and also take some time out to relax. Continually working ourselves until we are mentally fatigued may lead to bigger health problems, which may render us unproductive. Working is important, but our personal health is more important.
