Reply to Jamie

In this thread, Jamie has offered similarities that exist between Christians and Buddhists by referring to similarities in prayer, meditation, and moral lifestyles. This assists in expanding the theme of meaningful conversations among different religious groups. He also provides for being open-minded to accommodate other individuals with different opinions. He further refers to the scripture encouraging us to count others more significant than ourselves.

The thread by Jamie could have been improved by further focusing on the similarities that exist between the two religious groups.so as to reinforce the idea of having meaningful conversations between the two groups. Offering further insight into the similarities would have added to the current knowledge. Additionally, valid and reliable thoughts would have been incorporated to complete the deficit (Howard, 2015).

Reply to John

John focused on contrasting the two groups based on their beliefs, the idea of belief in heaven by Christians, and the Buddhists not believing any of that indicate the problem hence forming the basis of striving to meaningful conversation. John being flexible by admitting that we are all right by believing in what we do, allows for different thoughts, which further offer greater insight.

Acknowledging that different beliefs might interfere with meaningful conversations regarding different groups. as it would be tough to convince a Buddhist about the existence of heaven while they believe in reincarnation expand current knowledge and offer authentic solutions and concrete thoughts (Liu, 2015)

John would have improved the thread by at least quoting scripture that reinforces the views of Christians regarding Jesus and the existence of heaven, such as Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his image. By really taking a stand, whether they would be flexible to accommodate individuals with opposing viewpoints or not, instead, he only made a generalization. Having to take a stand, he has a greater chance of credibility. Which tends to make individuals with an opposing viewpoint to try and accommodate your views.
