From an audience point of view
From an audience point of view, I believe the Arena theatre will provide a better experience than in the proscenium arch theatre. When seeing a play in a proscenium arch theatre, I think that there would be a physical distance effect. The distance between the actors and the audience is so vast, and thus it would be hard for me to interact with the evolution of drama in the play. However, seeing the play in an arena theatre, I would feel connected to the acts due to the intimate atmosphere created by the audience positioned around the entire stage. Seeing a play in the round stage creates a functional space for drama where I am fully involved. When the audience is located around the scene, the actors become careful and produce the best show.
From watching the theatre professionals speak about their jobs, I have learned that it is essential for the people to work together to create something that will connect with the audience. The importance of theatre arts is to ensure that people understand and appreciate art, and thus it is vital to ensure that every detail in the script is converted into action. The theatrical styles might end up mixed in a single production and consequently crucial to collaborate and create teamwork to realize the play that was envisioned. Particular persons aren’t meant to complete every aspect of their jobs alone. Thus assistance from other people such as the electrician, costume manager, production manager enables the play to come to life.
