Hey Kim,
Thanks for sharing your post. Indeed, understanding and considering the cultural values of the diverse population can be critical in improving the quality of healthcare at large. Dealing with cultural diversity in healthcare can be vital in improving inter-professional care since it can result in fewer conflicts among the staff. According to King (2014), embracing cultural competence and diversity can improve the overall quality of care. Nurses require a mental shift that frames diversity as a way to address the quality of healthcare for all people.

Hey Sabrina,
Thanks for sharing! I liked your choice to discuss changes in Affordable Care Act (ACA) since it affects a large population of individuals who require adequate medical coverage. Indeed, the ACA serves most underserved populations who have a higher risk to disease yet have fewer treatment options and less access to health care. The ACA protects individuals who have preexisting rare diseases and health conditions and future considerations of repealing it can lock out millions of people from accessing affordable healthcare coverage (Loria, 2019).
