Senate
Pence Michael R is the President of the Senate and also the United States vice president. The major of the President of Senate is to receive and announce the United States presidential and vice President electoral ballots. In the Senate, the President of the Senate only votes when the senators have a tie. Grassley Chuck is the United States President Pro Tempore and was elected through the Republican Party. President Pro Tempore succeeds becomes the President when the President and his deputy are vacant. In the Senate, President Pro Tempore represents the senate president when he is absent.
McConnell Mitch is the majority leader of the Senate elected through the Republican Party to represent the state of Kentucky. As the party leader, Mitch acts as the spokesperson of the Republican Party. The majority leader makes sure the needs of his political party are presented in the senate floor. Minority Party leader of the Senate is Schumer Charles E elected to represent the state of New York through the Democrats’ political party. He acts as the spokesperson for Democrats and serves them on the Senate floor. The United States majority and minority whips are Thune John elected through the republican, and Durbin Richard J elected through the democrat party. The whips act as assistants for the majority and minority leaders, respectively.
Maria Cantwell is the senator for Washington elected through the democrats part. She is the commerce, science and transport committee, energy and natural resources committee, finance committee, Indian affairs committee, and small business and entrepreneurship committee. Murray Patty is the senator in Washington elected through the democrat party. He belongs to the Appropriations committee, health, education, labor and pensions committee, committee on the budget, and the committee on veterans’ affairs.
House
Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House of Representatives. She ensures the house passes legislation through the majority party. She determines when bills reach the floor. Steny Hoyer elected through the Democrat party, and he is responsible for setting house priorities and delivering democratic messages. Kevin McCarthy is the current minority leader in the house elected through the Republican Party. James Clyburn, elected through the democrat party and Steve Scalise elected through the Republican Party, are the majority and the minority leaders, respectively. Newhouse Dan is the congressional representative of the 4th state of Washington State. He is in the appropriations committee and modernization of the congress committee.
