Someone who truly knows me for who I’m is a person that has the greatest influence in your life. For instance a parent, either mother or father. For me, my mother has greatly impacted my life since she has always been on my side all through thick and thin. I’m confident that as long as she lives, she will always by my side to support me unconditionally and to show me love the same way she has always been doing. It is due to her that I’m where I’m today. Behind all my decisions, my values, my character, my mother stands proudly. Throughout my childhood, I have been more close to my mother as compared to my father. She has been a great friend, though a greater parental figure. She always lay down boundaries for me when necessary. It is due to respect and love I hold to my mother that I’m cautious of the choices I make. I fear her disappointment and at the same time, I cherish what she approves. I can advance my confidence that all lessons about the life she has taught me as well as the advice she has offered to me will always continue to shape my values and standards in life.
Being brought up from a customary catholic family, my mother raised us the same way she was raised by her mother. I have been made to understand that integrity, honesty, respect and hard work should be persistent like a day to day routine. And to find whatever I desire in life, I have to earn it. Even though I was never raised in a life of splendidness, I concede that im living a very comfortable lifestyle because of the efforts and hard work my parents put in life. Their viewpoint is an example I need to emulate. My mother together with assistance from my father has surpassed the expectations other people had on her. Being raised from a poor family, plus the little education, my mother migrated from central America to the united states having a goal to achieve in her mind, making a better way for herself. And of course, she did, and now, both my parents have successful separate businesses. Since then, my siblings and I are able to enjoy our luxurious life that other people have never gotten a chance to. That is the very reason I’m very grateful to them.
And now that I can be able to acknowledge that my mom was able to come through adversity and achieve all she has, I’m always inspired every single day to make a better person out of myself. I always and greatly admire her strong will and strength, and today, I’m very proud of being her child. Some mothers love to remind us of these words; “i only find a single chance to live my life, so it is up to me to take what I have and push forward in life. My future is never set in rocks, I create that way of my own destiny”. These words are very strong and they always encourage my heart. Therefore, I own my mother a lot. I must make her proud just the same way I’m proud of her. My mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
