Recommendation Report
The report given has some similarities with the guidelines of the recommendation report that are provided. In the report, the client, Starbucks, and what they do is clearly stated. The problem the client is experiencing is indicated, where the client is facing a problem in their “bake-off” program. The program has been having low sales and having their pastries thrown away, a process that is referred to as “mark out,” after time due to low sales the program has been experiencing. The report has also indicated the methodology used to find out the suggestions for making the program better. Customers are interviewed, and also, research is done using literature that is recently written. The findings obtained that make the program fail are also indicated. The results are divided into primary research findings and secondary research findings, which are further subdivided using subtopics as provided for in the report for guidelines.
The report differs from the guidelines of the recommendation report in specific ways. The tables of the report are not drawn to show the findings. The report recommendations are just stated in the report but not explained further. In the methods used, only one process is described in detail. The findings provided majorly consist of the results obtained from the research on existing literature. The interviews and surveys done on customers are not explained. Findings obtained from the interviews and surveys are also not described. The recommendations are just given based on the surveys and interviews whose methods are not even shown.
The report is effective at making recommendations. The report is efficient as it states the client and gives the problem. Even though not explained, the recommendations that are to be made are written down. Also, with the findings, the report can be used to make the changes needed.
