Part 3: Responses
Discussion 1
The post is quite informative, for it begins by explaining what the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is, its different phases, and the phase that the writer of the post finds essential. Values of any form are what are referred to as data, if data is not interpreted, then it remains meaningless. Information is data that has been processed to allow us humans to understand (Hope). This affirms what the post proceeds to state that the most important phase of SDLC is the system analysis phase because, without this phase, data would remain irrelevant to humans hence, I support the importance of the system analysis phase.
Methods that can be used in data collection include the use of secondary data collection methods and primary data collection methods. Secondary collection methods include books, magazines, and journals, while primary collection methods include questionnaires with closed-ended questions and interviews (Methodology). The post does describe data collection methods and proceeds to explain how they can be analyzed to acquire information. This is an informative post, and by the end of the reading, one gets to see the importance of data in the process of obtaining information.

Discussion 2
The post is quite informative, and the writer of the post makes sure that the reader understands why the most important SDLC phase is the Planning Phase to them. The writer states that the planning phase is important because it dictates everything from the scope and objectives, functional and non-functional requirements, as well as the technical, economic, and organizational feasibility.
Though the writer does support his view on the planning phase being important, I would like to differ with the writer by stating that the analysis phase of SDLC is the most important. The reason why I say this is because SDLC would be meaningless with the wrong interpretation of data and the data not being transformed into meaningful information (Williams & Sawyer, 2015). Information is data that has been processed to form information that us humans can understand easily (Hope). The post is informative, but I find the analysis phase being more important than the planning phase.
