Sexual Assault
Much of the deterrent measures of the Army is training how to understand the agreement and to understand how sexual assault and harassment are not endured. However, it should involve the subject of why it happens rather than merely how to prevent it. The three primary foundations that contribute to sexual assault includes cultural differences, acquired behavior, and false biological reasons. Therefore the primary objective in stopping sexual harassment in the Army should be to address the intricate connections cultural, learning, and natural factors (Castro 54).
Studies demonstrate that the highest number of culprits were at one moment, a victim of sexual harassment themselves (Kirby 9). In that respect, another cause of sexual assault is acquired behavior. This is described as an individual childhood and how a parent or mentor has handled the topic of sexuality. The most negative impact on teenager’s future views of healthy sexuality is the harass or assault them, in particular with a sensitive sexual motive. Such harassment can make the person grow around the concept that sexuality is a violent or fundamentally wicked subject. The SHARP plan should integrate the capacity for the soldier to seek support with persecution and to rehabilitate them irrespective of the occurrence that happened before recruiting.
Rape culture is a serious connection to sexual assault. It is described as a setting in which sexual harassment is prevalent and which sexual abuse is regularized and exempted in media and popular culture. This type of environment is evident in circumstances such as objectifying people, condemning victims, and describing a gender with unnecessary elements, for instance, womanhood or manhood. This affects many people in the Army, and appropriate measures should be taken by the stringent implementation of equality and comprehending of whose mistake it is in an occurrence in SHARP guidelines.
It is conceived that the reason for sexual assault is that it is a promising value in reproduction. The concept outlines that the reason it is quality is that through development, men who exercised rape persistently with different females stand high chances of getting many children, thus transmitting the genetic configuration for the class (Castro 23). However, the most common theory highlighting that this is an erroneous belief demystifies this notion by interrogating why sexual assault happens against teens, mentally damaged, and males. Two critical issues arise; One, that the concept that males fundamentally harassment should not be the overall understanding, and two that although if the earlier idea was right, it should not be applied as an excuse that sexual assault and harassment are permissible. This should as well be handled in SHARP lessons to stop the philosophy that it is rational and justifiable.
In conclusion, deterring sexual assault and harassment is our moral obligation. Generally, sexual harassment is the most disparaging factors in developing a mission-centered military. Most of the challenges are how soldiers influence and affect colleague soldiers. If we can demystify and alleviate the misconstructions of sexuality, child exploitation, and traumatization, the poor attitudes towards gender through a comprehensive understanding of these through SHARP plans.
