Data Warehouse Architecture Draft
The primary purpose of this research project is to enable students to apply what they have learned on the topic of data warehouse architecture during the course period. The final goal for the research project is to ensure students obtain the relevant material for answering the research questions provided. Students will be able to choose their specific resources, analyze the topics thoroughly, and review the clear evidence-based scholarly resources for review to match with the questions provides. They will be able to apply the concepts, principles, and theories that have been covered in this course.
The general outline for the paper will manage to cover three topics from the questions provided, which are data warehouse architecture, big data, and green computing. The following questions will be included following the given instructions;
- Data Warehouse Architecture (2-3 pages): Explain the major components of data warehouse architecture, including the various forms of data transformations needed to prepare data for a data warehouse. Also, describe in your own words current key trends in data warehousing.
- Big Data (1-2 pages): Describe your understanding of big data and give an example of how you’ve seen big data used either personally or professionally. In your view, what demands is big data placing on organizations and data management technology?
- Green Computing (1-2 pages): One of our topics in Chapter 13 surrounds IT Green Computing. The need for green computing is becoming more obvious considering the amount of power needed to drive our computers, servers, routers, switches, and data centers. Discuss ways in which organizations can make their data centers “green”. In your discussion, find an example of an organization that has already implemented IT green computing strategies successfully. Discuss that organization and share your link. You can find examples in the UC Library.
This research project will describe in detail the requirements needed for each question. It will talk briefly about data architecture, which are the specifications used in describing the state, obtaining data requirements, data integration guidance, and assets data controlling following a particular data strategy. This research will explain how data architecture is essential in the technology sector as it can provide a secure link between businesses and their customers through effective execution and marketing strategies.
Essentially, the paper outline will expound on the various data analytics components that enable it to succeed in operations, which include data architecture, big data, and green computing. Data architecture will consist of details about the components of the data warehouse, trends in the business sectors, and the impact that cloud services have made in the economy. In describing big data, students will learn about the changes that big data has brought to organizations by use of the latest technological designs and approaches.
The paper outline will also discuss the evolution of big data centers and how organizations such as Google, Facebook, and Apple are moving towards green data technology to ensure global efficiency and sustainability. The management of complex information in the company is a critical tool for enabling change in different departmental aspects. This is why it is essential to look at the various types of data analytics used by organizations, which are; data warehouse, big data analytics, and green data.
