online socialization, social issue and ethics
Three conclusions drawn from the article include online socialization, social issue and ethics. Many people use online socialization to create social capital which serves a vital role in shaping an individual’s feature. Another aspects of sociology considered in this article are online freedom and ethics. Despite the user’s ability to enjoy their online freedoms, their behaviours are in constant monitoring by top authorities.
The importance of the data elements presented is to show the social issue affecting an age group and rate of effect. The percentage number of users between age set 18-24 is 95%, while those between 25 and above are 68%. The data, therefore, shows that young adults are actively involved in online socialization than adults.
Online socialization can be described as a social issue. Majority of young adults tries to compete for identity and social capitalization. Significantly percentage of social competitors are the young adults who strive to attract a higher proportion of social capital—thus employing conflict theory to maintain this state of stability.
By employing the social enhancement theory, online socialization may contribute to human sufferings. People who are actively involved in online socialization are young adults who have few responsibilities in the society. They use online socialization as a platform for hunting jobs. For instance, jobs like journalism, public relation, real estate agent, among others, requires online socializing. Therefore, those who do not embrace online socializing are locked out from these opportunities. Consequently, human suffering and social disorganization increases. Deviance and crime as well increases.
However, we can make the following recommendations to be worked on for adequate socialization. The first recommendation is a need for research on the relationship between social capitalization and job employment. Another suggestion is on the development of new strategies to cub job shortage. Finally, I would recommend that the government provide training programs to the unemployed people and prospective recruitment workers.
