            Apple Inc. is a US-based company a cutting edge of technology serve its innovative products and services across the world. The corporation launched its first smartphone on June 29, 2007. iPhone drives smartphone industry and diverts the attention in a different side by proving efficient and compelling products. Communication through smartphones is a contribution of Apple Inc. into the industry. Started in 2007, Apple Inc. crosses sales revenue above those companies that are in the market for decades. Because of the unique and appealing products of the company, it flourishes in the market. iPhone, MacBook, iPad and other products of the company changed customer choices and response towards other smartphone brands.

Apple Inc. launches its smartphone every year with some change in the design and software that is the exciting time for all users across the world. The thing that makes the iPhone a different and most expensive smartphone brand is the appearance of its smartphone. Recent reports show that customers report against the durability of the iPhone software that the company is repeatedly changing the appearance of smartphones without introducing any remarkable change in the internal software. Company is intended to provide value to its customers, and this is the vision for long-term success (Rawlinson, 2017).

            Apple Inc., a globally accepted smartphone brand, is a huge contributor to the US economy. The company is owning success and appreciation because of the quality of products it is providing to customers. Since the evolution of the brand, it earns a lot of success and still everything is the same. Current business practices are intended to offer desired products to customers and to come up with unique products. Customers expect high from the company and thus to meet with these expectations, the brand brings surprising changes in every series. Apple is a multinational technological Inc. operating in some countries across the world (Belyh, 2015). Apple uses open and closed innovation techniques to expand their global corporate networks. These techniques help them to stand as a competitor in the fast-paced world where everyone is emerging with ultra-fast speed. Techniques and strategies, including intensive and strategic, are planned and executed under specific conditions or by the consideration of environmental sensitivity. Apple emerged a few years ago through their groundbreaking innovations rapidly franchised their brand outside the territory of the US and make the iPhone an integral part of customer’s lives.

Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives of Apple Inc.

            The mission statement of Apple Inc. is “to bringing the best user experience to its customers through its innovative hardware, software, and services.” (Cuofano, 2018) Other goals and objectives of the company are driven by the mission statement of the company. The first goal is to provide unique user experience and proactive interface to its users. The goal of the company is to introduce innovative products and aimed to be unique forever. And the objective of the company is to provide hassle-free products and services to customers. The objective is to provide quality and entertainment simultaneously.

Training and Employee Development Department

            Apple Inc. has a well-organized and effectively planned training and employee development department. The company value its employees as one of its key advantages and thus provide Training for the enhancement of skills. Training and development department at Apple Inc. is aimed to enable employees to work in a unique and dissimilar way for the betterment of the organization and to meet with transformational challenges. The goal of the training and development department is “To help drive change from the bottom up; we engage directly with workers to teach them new skills and raise awareness of their rights. And we train managers on their responsibilities under the Supplier Code of Conduct — and beyond” (Sayem, 2019) Training and development also intended to create and expand professional development opportunities for employees and foster their skills in a unique way. Training is provided to employees regarding problem-solving skills, computer skills, finance management and customer engagement strategies. For example, in 2011, the company train its employees regarding the prevention of underage labor practices (Sayem, 2019).  Practices of Apple Inc. when it comes to the Training and development of employees, it is proactive and careful about its employees and their practices. This is analyzed from its business profile as well as of practices.

Challenges/Problems

            Although Apple Inc. is accepted and appreciated across the globe because of the production of quality products and services, recently, many smartphone brands like Samsung is achieving the status of Apple Inc. into the market by launching hilarious smartphone series. This emergence of competitors is a challenge for the company that might affect its position into the market. Another challenge that Apple Inc. is facing recently is because of its pricing strategy. Costly products of Apple Inc. and minimal software improvements in past few models have impacted the choices of consumers at larger. These challenges are affecting the global position of the company and might it suffer in the coming future. Apple needs to hear customer choices carefully, once again, to manage a solution. But the use of Training and development could help Apple Inc. to manage the solution. Training material that includes problem-solving skills, computer skills, finance management etc. could help the company to take a step to beat emerging competitors. I am telling this because, like operation strategies, the company can adapt unique strategies to target its competitors into the market (GAUS, 2019).

Research Reason

            I selected this company because I think Apple’s training and development department is offering unique and incomparable services to enhance the skills of employees. I research this company because I know the company’s website would provide me with the required information that would be difficult for any other company. Apple Inc. is one of the highlighted American companies creating value for its customers and the market as well. From the training and development point of view strategies that are established and followed are amazing, and most of all, working to foster real-life change. The purpose of the training and development department is to enhance the user experience by training its employees to serve customer needs better.
