Pride Inn Azure
One of the 4-star hotels in Kenya is the Pride Inn Azure. This entity has been in operations for more than one decade. An interview with the chief executive director of the hotel was an eye-opener for me on the manner in which the hotel carries out its operations. The main point of interest for this interview was on managerial decision making especially on revenue management, menu/banquet pricing, along with the percentage of revenues and profits that are generated from full-service hotel rooms and F&B.
When it comes to revenue management, the income received in the hotel is used to service its debts both long term and short term (Negi 10). On the other hand, when it comes to menu pricing, this is done based on the current market prices. Last but not least, the firm generates at least 50% of its revenues and profits from full-service hotel rooms and F&B (O’Fallon, and Denney 27).
