Introduction
The study assignment will discuss two sections. In the first section, the reflection will be done based on the SWOT analysis of an individual. Thus in the process of placement or future graduate-level role and the second part, the discussion can be done about meeting the professional based on the workplace, furthermore, how the overall placement process can try to offer the placement process and the areas that can be improved in this regard. In the second section, the SMART guidelines, along with the significant business goals in this regard. The report will follow by the conclusion in this regard.
Discussion
In the discussion part, all the answers to the questions are addressed.
Section 1: Reflection
To be successful in today’s competitive world, I believe that it is highly essential to be aware of the overall personal strengths and weaknesses as well as the opportunity and threat aspects. Hence by being aware of all these major sorts of aspects, I can understand that this personal SWOT analysis can be highly effective for me to treat my issues with confidence and try to cure all the threats in different areas as well. However, I feel that being a student can help me to secure a good job in the future and try to maintain a professional work attitude as a whole (Fletcher 2019) (Refer to appendix 1). Hence my SWOT analysis is as follows-
Strength
My strength generally involves my ability to be highly innovative and creative. Those can help me in getting proper placement in companies and keeping the right motivation in the workplace for the long term. Hence the overall effectiveness in my ways can be compared to those of my peers and subordinates in the global environment. Thus being open to new ideas in an extremely tough condition can help me to adapt to the situations. Therefore I feel that adaptation will be highly useful for constantly forming changes. Thus through my innovation and creativity level, I can improve myself in the workplace, and that can certainly help me in my carrier growth. My education process can be helpful to stand out for the overall environment. Since it is a knowledge intension quality, hence I can imply the same in my education and innovation techniques.
Furthermore, I have strong skill sets in a computer that can also add specific value to the company. I can also adapt tough situations well and work in a team to fit me for the job culture. Thus I believe that this skill set can be counted upon as my strength (Neulicht 2019).
Weakness
My social skills and over-commitment can be considered as my weakness. Since I am opening minded, I feel that I can face issues in the organizations when it comes to change directions, and it will also backfire for generating momentum in this regard. On the overhand, when I am committed to something, then I find it very hard to get out of it despite noticing that this can lead me in the wrong direction. However, being a student can stop me from achieving my goals and in adapt to the workplace in the future (Fletcher 2019).
Opportunities
I find that in my carrier path, one of the most significant opportunities for seeking a good job is my educations and knowledge gained through that. From my education level, I can choose my next carrier destination. Other than that, my skill sets can also help me achieve workplace goals. My thinking skills and creativity can also be effective for me in securing the best job as a student or giving business to the company (Godward et al.2019).
Threats
One of the most significant threats that I face is fierce competition from other students and advancement in technologies. Hence being a student, I need to end up high and improve my skill sets as much as possible to fit myself in the world of changing technologies. Therefore I feel that it can work on such issues. I can make myself a fit candidate for getting a job and being professional as a whole.
Section2: carrier and personal development plan
SMART goals are considered to be very much useful for a student to develop his carrier and to try to showcase his best potential in the workplace. The SMART goals are meant to address all the job responsibilities, and these are highly initiated to focus on the attention and resources that can be helpful to attain all the primary objectives related to the carrier development plan. Thus before starting the personal development plan, it is essential to understand all the primary goals and program in the below ways-
The broad job areas and another different sort of objectives related to the context of personal development needs to be addressed.
- A goal statement is needed to be developed for each case, and the focus needs to be on the results.
- The goals are needed to encompass higher level core outcomes for which the person is solely responsible, and the overall SMART goals need to be enough to attain success factors.
- If the goals are numerous and task-oriented, then it may be helpful to consider different goal statement in a broader outcome area.
All the goals along with its actions are as under-
S- SPECIFIC
At the time of setting a goal, I need to be specific about the goals I want to accomplish. Moreover, it is very much close to the mission statement on chalking out the process of how I am going to attain all my objectives based on the personal development plan. Since the SMART goal is related to my carrier and own development plan that can help me to secure a job in the future or improve my transport at the workplace. Therefore to do that, there are a couple of actions that I feel is needed to be completed. These are as follows-
Who- this will address the persons who will be involved in helping me to achieve my goals. This can include my seniors, my colleagues, and my teacher. Therefore all these people can help me in accomplishing my objectives (Chen et al.2019).
What- I must fully concentrate on my goal rather than thinking about the outcomes first hand (Jironet 2019).
When- At the time of being more specific about my goals and objectives, I must set a time particular goals as a whole.
Which- This factor always depends upon certain detailed elements, and the question here can be highly beneficial for me. Hence these aspects can make me prepared about the placements and maintaining professionalism in the overall workplace.
Why- I must also understand the specific reason for understanding the overall goals and objectives, and all these factors can surely help me to do individual personal development (Reis-Marques et al.2019).
M- Measurable
In this area of the personal development process, it can be said that the process is going to determine the aspects of my goals. For example, if I am under a project, and it is taking a few months to complete, then I need to set certain milestones by considering certain specific tasks to accomplish. Furthermore, when I am looking for a placement or maintain work professionalism, I must look for certain specific skill sets that can help me to drive towards success. Hence all these aspects can be differentiated to specific metrics. Therefore the actions are as follows-
- I need to measure the specific set of o0bjectives that can be relied upon to specific information procedures.
- This aspect will prove to be effective in meeting the major success factor for the overall organizational goals.
- For placement concerns, I feel that this aspect can be feasible for me to understand a given set of goals at the discussion related to the desired result. Hence this goal measurement will help me in doing performance planning (Hughes et al.2019).
A-achievable
The focus on how important a goal is to meet particular specific, attainable objectives. Thus I feel that the process may require developing new skills and its dominant changing attitudes. Furthermore, the goals can be useful to inspire motivation, discouragement. Hence this goal is meant to surprise the aspect of motivation and not another sort of discouragement process as a whole. Thus it can be said that the actions are as follows-
- How to accomplish the goal (Suresan et al.2019).
- If the tools and techniques to be attended.
R- Relevant
The concept of relevance can try to focus on something that makes the process broader in business goals. For example, it can be said that the new program and procedure can also be useful to align the overall potential objectives based on personal development. Hence, in this case, the information as well as developing global business objectives as a whole. Thus I can try to prioritize launching the type of new program effective in this case (Darvill and Leigh 2019).
T- Time-bound
Since I have to understand the specific goals based on securing a job or meeting professionalism in the organization, therefore I need to meet all the changes that are not going to serve certain deliverable issues. Hence to understand individual specific program I need to capitalize on the moments that should be implemented halfway of the stage as a whole. Thus I believe that meeting timeliness can prove me useful in this regard.
