The church of Euthanasia brought a lot of controversies

The term religion means a group of people converging to find answers to existential questions about their culture and why it is essential to them as a group. It is equally important to note that religion does not necessarily mean the belief of God, but what believers feel is right, thus setting guidelines and rules to follow them. The church of Euthanasia was founded in 1992 by Chris(Tine) Korda, a transgender person who was a DJ (Bromley, 2015). Strangely, the church’s title “Save the Planet Kill yourself’ came to existence after “The being” appeared in Korda’s dream warning about the ecosystem failing and the fact that the leaders were in denial. According to the dream, the world was facing global warming, and the leaders were lying to the people. As a result, Korda came up with one fundamental commandment as “Thou shall not procreate “to reduce the world’s population. However, it is optional.

The church of Euthanasia brought a lot of controversies due to its contradicting beliefs compared to the ordinary views that people are familiar with society. For example, in the Holy Bible, God commands Adam and Eve and asks them to go and fill the world through procreation and to be above all living things on earth ( Keener, 2014). Contrary to the Church of Euthanasia where human beings were encouraged to kill themselves willingly with the intention of reducing the population in the world. To support their initiative of population reduction, the church carried out actions in the early 80s that protected a human being to take a life without being harshly judged ( Bromley, 2015). Generally, both religiously and law, a human being has a right to life, and no one is allowed to end a life of another or his or her own life, and stipulated rules were initiated to ensure there is the protection of life.
