Business and faith, yes they can coexist
What comes to your mind when youyou hear someone is in business or ministry? Well, the apparent picture is that of someone spending all their time and resources to make a profit by selling products or services. On the other hand, you imagine someone devoting their time and resources talking to people about a certain belief or ways of doing things. Usually th,is is a fulfull-timeb, that requires full attention. For Kevin Suter, he thrives in both ministry and business. He had over 15 years of experience in business and ministry, traveling across the country and impacting millions of lives. He has built his company from the ground up, and had to put in extra hours in a low paying job to contribute to his ministry work. He is an inspiration to many others and a testimony that business and faith can coexist. Below is what you can learn from his journey.
- Have great work ethics
Kevin Suter is someone who has been willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his dreams. He puts hard work into everything he does. When he was starting his ministry, he would put in 70-80 hours a week to be able to contribute to his ministry. One of the things that set him apart from others is his ability to focus on his targets and work relentlessly to ensure that he achieves his goals. To him, failure is a motivation to try again and better yourself. You should not fear to fail, rather fear not to try to do something about your dreams. Kevin learned from the best in ministry before venturing into his own. It takes discipline to work everyday working for others who are living your dreams.
- Determination is key
Entrepreneurship comes with a lot of challenges, and many are those who fail along the way. Kevin Suter understands that one must keep focus in their goals that they set to achieve so that they are able to overcome challenges. Early on in his ministry, he travelled across the country barely making enough cash to support his family. Kevin did not give up, he continued to put his best foot forward and emerged victorious. Despite the challenges that he faced in his life including coming to near divorce with his wife, he was determined to build his business and ministry, now he is enjoying the fruits of his hard work.
- Being ambitious and optimistic
To achieve great things in life, you must set great targets for yourself. Dare to dream big, and to pursue your goals with optimism. Sometimes it is hard to have everything all figured out, it takes a leap of faith to move into unknown territories. Kevin’s company started from the ground up, and they are now looking to be generating 7 figures in revenue. Similarly, he started his ministry with nothing but optimism that he is going to impact people’s lives. He has done more than he thought he would be able to do, and it is just the beginning of great things to come.. He has established and developed multiple churches and organizations, by just setting the bar higher for himself in every way.
- Loving your failures
We are not born perfect, but we can perfect what we set out to achieve by accepting and learning from our mistakes. In his mentorship program, Kevin Suter encourages businesses people and the community to learn to embrace their failures and learn from them so that they can better themselves. Kevin’s football coach did not believe that that he would make it, he viewed him as a failure. However, Kevin embraced what was then his failures and turned around into something amazing. When you fail, it is a good time to evaluate your goals in life and explore ways to develop yourself. Rather than viewing failure as a negative thing, it is perfect opportunity to pause and reset yourself, and to challenge yourself to become better.
One of the key lessons from Kevin Suter journey is that we have the power to change ourselves and those around us. Whether it is in business or ministry, everything requires hard work and above all, having faith and prayer to keep you strong as you pursue your goals.
