Europe has several cultures and customs across all nations

Introduction

In the globe, Europe is situated in the northern hemisphere, but it wholly occupies the eastern hemisphere. The continent lies on the western side of Eurasia. Arctic and Atlantic oceans lie to the north and west of Europe, respectively. The Mediterranean Sea lies to the south of Europe while Asia occupies its Eastern side. Ural and Caucasus waters and mountains divide Europe and Asia. The traditional division of Europe has been following the directions of the campus, i.e., North, South, East, and West. The continent has 44 countries and is one of the most developed among the seven continents. Europe has several cultures and customs across all nations. Practices like region, economics, and other human customs are present in Europe from time immemorial. Using these factors, Europe can then subdivided into three major groups, as we will see in this paper.

The Factors for Subdivision

The categorization, in this case, results in the division of Europe into eastern, central, and western regions. The eastern region has Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. The central region is comprised of Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, and Romania eastwards. The ones on the west are Italy, Slovenia, and Belgium. In between these large countries are small ones like Austria and Slovakia. The western division comprises Netherlands, France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland, and so on.

The first category of division is wealth distribution. Since the start of economic global development regions, there has been inequality in the respective areas. In Europe, these inequalities have not been an issue until the 1970s. At that time, there were concerns about how the gap between the rich and the poor (Ferrari, 2020). This concern made researchers survey to fully understand wealth distribution. The eastern part of the continent has the lowest index of wealth distribution per household. The number is little in the east of division. The three countries, as shown above, make the east division in terms of the lowest wealth distribution per household. The western division has the highest wealth distribution per household. The second category is following climatic conditions as a physical factor. The climatic conditions of Europe can also divide it into three parts: Easter, central and western regions. The eastern region has a cold summer climate (Majorowicz, 2010). The region experiences very cold summers with long snowfall periods. The Central Division has the same features as that of the eastern side. The difference comes in the periods of snowfall and the winter temperatures; they are lower in the central part. The western region has three distinct climates of Mediterranean, Subtropical, and Semi-Arid.

The Map

Rational

The mean wealth per adult in Russia, Poland, and Switzerland are $27, 400, 57, 900, and 564, 700, respectively (Alessie et al., 2013). These statistics justify the subdivisions. The climates can explain the physical factors in the various regions across Europe. Belarus experiences long winters with snowfalls. The same environment is in Poland with short winter and mild snows (Jürg Luterbacher et al., 2010). Spain lies in a semi-arid climate while the United Kingdom and Italy experiences subtropical and Mediterranean climates, respectively.

Conclusion

Europe is generally a vast area even though it is the second smallest continent on earth. The subdivisions show clear boundaries for study and a better understanding of the continent in terms of human activities and physical features. Eastern, Central, and Western Europe have distinct features that give the continent a unique feature among other continents. Wealth distribution is an essential factor in the study of human interactions. Physical characteristics provide information on what to expect in terms of climatic conditions of the regions. The three sub-division of the district into three parts were, therefore, successful.
