What can we do to strengthen our relationship with Christ?
Every Christian life to asked themselves this question while receiving different answers from the scriptures. We have several ways that we can use to strengthen our relationship with our creator. Every Christian knows that God gave his only beloved son to die and resurrect so that we can be forgiven from our sins, and this remains the big reason why we should praise God every day in our lives, and seek strength from him so that we can build a great relationship with him forever.
From the book of john 1:1, the scripture tells us that, in the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God himself. Then in chapter 1: 14, the Word became flesh and dwelled within us, and we were able to see his glory from his son full of grace and truth.
As Christian, we believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and believing in Him means believing and trusting in God, our father.
Strengthening our relationship with Christ is a gateway to receiving his grace and securing our eternal life. We live a healthy Christian life because of favors and grace from God through his beloved son, Jesus Christ. There are several ways that we can use to strengthen our relations ship with Christ, as seen from the scripture.
Cultivate your communion with God.
The big challenge with most Christians is that we can find ourselves being driven away from having sincere communion with God by earthly pleasure and most distractions from several businesses in our daily life. We must remember that God is God of order, and he knows everything we are supposed to do beyond our knowledge. We need to understand that God created us out of love, and we must love him too. We must dedicate most of our time in communion with him so that he can bless us with more.
The question most of us asked themselves in silence is; How can I go about it? Or How easy is it?
Building communion with God, starts with the LOVE of God. Once you build yourself, love, with Christ, everything will become easy for you. Remember, we must also love one another! In the book of Mark 12:30-31, the scripture gave us a very powerful verse about love. We must love our neighbors as we love ourselves. This translates biblically to love for Christ! This is because we are all made with the image of God. So, love for Christ starts with love from one another.
Another great way to cultivate communion with God is through constant communication with him. The main channel of communication with God is through prayer. Prayer is the key to any miracles; the more prayer becomes a habit in your life, miracles become obvious. Spend more of your time praying, and you will not be subjected to many temptations in your life. Praying before you start the day, saves you from many distractions that may divert you away from Godly ways. Pray without ceasing, and you will never struggle to get closer to Christ.
I always enjoy God’s salvation.
As Christians, we are not supposed to take God’s salvation for granted. Being saved does not mean just escaping judgment and securing eternal life, but it is one of God’s great plans for our lives. Jesus Christ died for our sins, and through His resurrection, we receive salvation, reconcile with God and strengthen our relationship with Him. Our joy, love, and peace were restored, and the holy spirit descends to protect and guide us in every way we take in proclaiming the everlasting kingdom.
Human being enjoyed their freedom of choice until today, but the grace of God is sufficient for us all. It is never too late for anyone to follow Christ, develop self-love, love for others, and love for Christ. The grace of God is there to renew anyone at any age, and all your sins will be forgiven and be born again in the name of Jesus Christ through the holy spirit.
We are encouraged to always enjoy salvation, and your self-reconciliation to your spiritual life and the relationship with Christ will be strengthened. By regularly engaging yourself with Christian practices such as reading scriptures, praying, uniting with other Christians to proclaim the Word of God among any other activities will make you stay close to Christ and strengthen the relationship with him.
