Hi, Charnissa! I like your stand regarding the terrorist attacks against the authoritarian regimes with unjust economic policy. I think under such situations, most of the people who will suffer are women and children. Also, people who suffer are innocent who have no relationship with the government. Therefore, your opinion is one of the many that would condemn such an act. In short, we cannot solve a problem using two wrong actions. Both terrorism and authoritarian governments are wrong. However, there should be better ways of approaching the situation, either by using peaceful means or force that do not harm innocent people.

Excellent discussion, Lian! Indeed, terrorism involves the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, and this is mostly against civilians. From this definition, terrorists mainly target un-armed people. Allowing them to stage an attack against an authoritarian regime will mean loss of lives among the innocent people. Therefore, I support your opinion that they should not be allowed to attack the dictatorial regime as they will kill innocent civilians. I also do not think anyone with a good motive will justify terrorism against a genocidal regime. Just like in the case of attacking the authoritarian government, terrorists will kill civilians who are part of the genocidal regime.

Hello, James! I like the way you have described your idea as far as the issue of terrorism and the authoritarian regime is concerned. Generally, I do not think there is any crucial difference between terrorists. Over recent years, we have witnessed cases of terrorism where innocent people are killed mercilessly by extremist groups. Giving them a chance to attack an authoritarian regime will be the most significant blunder ever made. Despite both terrorism and the authoritarian regimes being wrong, I do not think terrorists will bring sanity either. Also, on the genocidal regime, the terrorist will not help solve the issue but could worsen it based on the fact that they are merciless in their killings.
