Hypothesis- All people equal chances of contracting coronavirus disease (Covid-19), regardless of their skin color.

Research hypothesis- There is no scientific proof yet that shows any difference in the prevalence of (Covid-19) to people of different skin colors.

People of all skin colors, black or white, have the same chances of contracting covid-19. There was a myths that its dissemination would not be as severe in Africa continent like it was in America, Europe, and Asia. Perception had it that black-skinned people in Africa have some immunity to the disease. However, statistics have shown no difference in the spread of SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19. Comparing the spread of the disease in the United States and Nigeria in Africa, there is no significant difference traced. In both nations, anyone has an equal chance of contracting the virus if they come into contact with a confirmed case. Although the number of confirmed cases in the USA is higher than in Nigeria, it can be due to the difference in population between the nations. One can draw the variation from when each country reported its first confirmed case of the disease (Surveillances, 2020).

Countries around the globe face varied levels of risk of contracting the disease. Initially, some people predicted that the Africa continent would be severed hit by the pandemic. However, the disease trend in the continent is not showing the expected spread. Research foresaw the adversity of the disease in Africa, probably because of the underdevelopment of the countries. The developing nations lack well-established healthcare facilities, therefore, being at higher risk of dealing with the pandemic. Poverty and congested urban centers were perceived to bring devastating outcomes of the spread of the disease in African countries. Failure to observe social distancing behaviors could lead to a rapid progression of the covid-19. The lack of well-established healthcare facilities as led to a large number of the African population to live with underlying medical conditions. Statistics suggest that the disease causes more risk of fatalities to those with lowered immunity. The statement above indicates that people in Africa are more at risk than any developed country, such as the USA (Surveillances, 2020).
