A critique of the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Treatment.
Brain functioning is directly responsible for the manner of general human behavior. This paper provides a critique of some of the articles that have an immense contribution to behavioral therapy as below.
First, group four dealing with children counseling provides a comprehensive discussion on the holistic approach of dealing with the behavioral tendencies that are a result of a traumatizing event in childhood developmental stages. Also, there is the correct use of APA formatting with the running head that appears on each page, the proper form of in-text citation, and a bright referential source. However, the research should focus on giving more space to life skills and interpersonal communication than theoretical frameworks while engaging the clients.
Next, group two dealing with children and Adolescent Counselling and Therapy provides numerous mechanisms to use in different contexts for treating post-traumatic experiences. The use of approaches like Cognitive, behavioral therapy, play therapy, creative therapies, and mindfulness, to mention a few, provide a firm ground to deal with behavioral malpractices. There is the use of correct APA format with a clear running head, indent of paragraphs, and intext citations. Down the other path, the paper does not give a better clear definition on how to handle the group counseling technique, which requires a clear explanation of its usage.
Lastly, group one opines both the internal and external factors that contribute to a given behavior among children and adolescents, especially in the modern world. This is critical in handling different problems with the adolescent, including special needs cases. There is a consistent application of APA format with the proper bolded subheading, indented paragraphs, and updated references. However, some of the approaches are a bit formalized and therefore create a barrier between the client and the counselor. As such, there is a need for designing a better mechanism of communication in expediting such approaches like Gestalt theory.
