Sex crimes involve unwanted or illegal sexual conduct with other individuals. In the U.S., different all the states have different laws governing sexual crimes. Sexual assault, rape, indecent exposure, sexual assault, and prostitution are examples of sex crimes. Different states have various regulations and policies that prohibit the exercise of these crimes. Sexual offenders refer to the people responsible for the sexual crimes. Sexual offenders are subjected to strict policies that affect their lives, even after being released from prison, mental hospital, or probation facilities. These policies include monitoring to ensure that they do not repeat their acts, subjection to regular registry and updating of the record, and public notification on the offenders. Through these policies, sex offenders face numerous challenges in society. For instance, discrimination against offenders becomes random in the community after the notification process. Through this discrimination, most offenders could find life unbearable and end-up committing suicide.
