Cultural competency is widely recognized as a significant factor in the health industry that is influenced by psychological and cultural factors that include beliefs, values, language, and religion. Therefore, nurses are supposed to learn, understand, and come up with cultural skills for them to be able to deliver patient-centered care adequately. Nevertheless, getting cultural competency, it’s not a walk in the park because nurses have different psychological and cultural diversity, thus broadening the concept of understanding the culture of specific places. Therefore, it will take a longer duration for the nursing industry to achieve optimal cultural competence. It is essential to learn all the processes of cultural competency and describe how its principles can be applied in the provision of nursing health promotion services.
