urge to want to know and understand more about engines
I have always been fascinated by cars and how they were designed and operated. My interest has always been to learn about the car engines and how they operate. Doing engineering in high school gave me a glimpse of the operation of engines of simple machines. However, the urge to want to know and understand more about engines inspired me to study mechanical engineering.
I have occasionally worked as an amateur mechanic in a friend’s garage. The work gave me hands-on experience in car engines. I was not only impressed with the engines mechanical operations but also the different designs that were incorporated in different cars. This experience motivated ne to pursue a course that would help broaden my passion in locomotive design. Thus, I purposed to become a mechanical engineer.
Through the years, I have broadened my knowledge in engine design. In high school, I ensured to do subjects that are related to engineering. Additionally, I have done much reading of car engines and the different designs and how the engines operate in different cars, especially fast cars and automatic cars. Similarly, I have read works from different famous engineers who have outstanding innovations. These new works have been a motivation to strive to improve these designs and work on my designs.
Hull University has been a great start towards my career in mechanical engineering. However, I believe the university was a stepping stone to more significant achievements and endeavours. Hence, the need to transfer to Coventry university. I am looking for a higher ranking university with better student life. Coventry University is not only dynamic but is a university that is accustomed to teaching excellence coupled with bold international partnerships. The university is among the best universities in the UK.
Coventry is made up of a diverse system of collaborators and industries. Thus as a student at the university, I will have access to global opportunities that will put me at better chances of employment. Similarly, the school is internationally recognized in its expertise in engineering and design. Thus I am sure as a graduate from the University I will be a world-leading mechanical engineer in the automotive field.
I am a very committed student, and I am determined to excel as a mechanical engineering student. I intend to contribute to the development of robust and innovative engines in the future. The innovations will aim to create energy-efficient engines that would help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and thus help in combating climate change. Hence, I sincerely hope that I will be considered to continue with my studies at the university. I believe this will be a start to my success as a mechanical engineer as I develop essential skills and abilities that will be important in my career.
I have enjoyed Physics and Mathematics and mechanics. Learning mathematics has helped me develop my problem-solving skills. On the other hand, Physics helped me develop my theoretical understanding and practical relevance, that is a significant concept in mechanical engineering.
It is evident from my transcript that I was doing well at Hull University. Thus I am confident that I will be able to meet the academic requirements at Coventry University. The mechanical engineering course at Coventry is in line with my academic interests and career goals.
