Abstract
This paper aims at an analysis of a company under the name Waves Strikes. It is a family-owned company that focuses on the provision of cars for hire and drivers for the same purposes. The company has been in operation for the past fifteen years and has grown to expand into other areas such as the introduction of a driving school. This writing shall cover some of the challenges that the organization has been experiencing over time. The first instance shall look into the internal environment by shedding light on the falling employee commitment levels leading to higher turnover rates. This instance is especially illustrated by the number of employees who have resigned from the company in the past three years and gone to work in other companies. The second issue that the paper established was the rigidity of the workforce to adopt a new technological approach to carrying out some of their tasks. The organization had introduced the use of mechanisms that the employees did not know and seemed to not follow over time. The third problem that the company also recognized was the growing competition especially in the area of cars for hire. One particularly company, Air Gust, had taken the market by storm. The company had only been in existence for five years and has been growing fast past Waves Strikes, thus controlling a considerable share of the market. The paper shall delve into the nature and origins of the problems that the company has been experiencing and eventually offer some recommendations for improvements. It shall highlight these issues through the lens of various theories to offer a better understanding of each challenge and strategies for dealing with the same.
