H1: Analysis of Emersion’s “Nature”

During the time Emerson was back in Europe in 1833, he had started writing his book, which was eventually published with the title nature. The title was drawn from sermons, journals, and lectures. According to Ralph Waldo’s analysis of Emerson’s “nature,” he uncovers an unusual valuation for the world within him. Concentrating on the world and stars specifically, nature grandeur, Emerson focuses also on ways in which we understand and perceive different objects. Well, nature main objective is ensuring that humans are enlightened in understanding human spirit which strongly persists for strong relationship between the spirit and man. Therefore, Emerson views to nature to be motivation, which draws people’s deep understanding of the spirit world.

Moreover, Emerson starts his essay through an explanation of nature’s omnipresence that acquires respect from viewers. Besides, nature tends to be indifferent and very distant, which makes Emerson present the idea of not all people can observe nature, whereby, all people should feel awe, have a feeling of appreciation, wonder, similar to a kid that is not understanding but appreciates only. Emerson assigns nature woman characteristics like, “Nature does not put on a self appearance,” and also “a wise man’s mistakes can never be lost through the realization of their mistakes.” Nature’s experience described by Emerson is revealed to be magical and sublime but has a beautiful looking.

H2: Universal Bodies Such as the “Stars”

Taking stars to be a symbol for the universe, Emerson further points out that star are often taken for granted due to their daily presence in our lives, despite the location we are in. Moreover, he continues explaining about stars that are miles away and the subsequent landscape within him. He develops a strong bond between the landscape and the stars, which explains further the idea of linking all objects in this world. Moreover, Emerson also explains that someone who perceives nature as a whole is the poet, which distinguishes the poet and the readers. He adds that the poet view nature in a clear manner, though not superficially compared to other people’s perception. Rather than the use of theories, which Emerson acknowledges, they should be discarded; individuals who desire seeing should present their inner child, recognizing nature the way it is unlike trying to change into something else.

Description by Emerson about a universal being, he relates it to God, whereby currently is known to be transcendentalism. Well, categorically different things found in nature needs some forces that are animating, in which, it is believed by Emerson they are both linked. Moreover, according to Emerson, he accepts that he is nothing, although he can see everything. The chapter is concluded about nature through an explanation, not having a personality that is solely devised. It is said that humans are the ones that assign nature to the human characteristic it is supposed to possess.

Other sections that follow relate Emerson’s knowledge about in that he considers nature as man’s instructor and why a man should gain understanding and insight from nature. Men can know how to be close to God through the study of nature, since nature is a delightful creation from God. Nature’s beauty is reflected to be nature’s qualities which comprise of restorative and medicinal abilities for man. Nature’s uniqueness of taking rid of anxiety and stress suffered by humans is outstanding. Moreover, Emerson explains that people who are passively lost in nature’s powers usually are rewarded, but people the eagerly look for healing would be tricked by illusions created by nature.

Focusing on Emersion’s understanding of language and nature, he outlines the familiarity of objects and words represented in nature, whereby he states the objects show symbols and spirituality and reality. Moreover, he explains nature to be people’s interpreter since it gives people the language they speak presently. For instance, the writer points out that all people understand darkness and light, which metaphorically show ignorance and knowledge. The subject of universal knowledge is stressed at a point when he state that people are made of a universal soul that links one to the other. Furthermore, Emerson elaborates about the mind’s involvement with the matter has never been loved by many poets, although it is part of God’s will, thus can be understood by any person. Soon the universe will be an open book that can be read by anyone.

Besides, Emerson further focuses on a hard question related to subjective truth and how hard is it to verify external reality as something real. Average people always don’t like thinking what might be real can also be an illusion. Whether nature indeed exists or not is said to be distinct and still cannot be answered.

Just after looking into nature’s abilities, it is easily noticed that Ralph Waldo Emerson comprises of distinct, sublime, and an undeniable care of nature. Moreover, he sticks to enlightenment in human nature, whereby knowledge, human relation with God, is channeled all around by nature. Furthermore, evil and infection around us can be traced to this, which lapses away from people’s understanding of spiritual truth that emanates from nature.

Besides, Emerson presents a theory about how humans are a microcosm, whereby a tiny world that keeps in touch with the macrocosm from the natural world. But his utmost complaint is that people are having access to limited knowledge about nature due to mistaking understanding for a reason. Well, nature is motivational in which humanity starts understanding, but not to reason with the natural world.
