RUBRIC AND GRADING CRITERIA FOR THE RESEARCH PAPER

| Introduction: Does the introduction clearly describe the purpose, significance and plan of the paper? | 5 |
| Quality of Writing: Are paragraphs well structured? Are the sentences clear? Are the key points explained and backed by reasons? Are the arguments thoughtful and logical demonstrating critical thinking & originality? | 10 |
| Conclusion: Are the main points summed up? Are the conclusions related to the importance of the study? Are some wider implications drawn from this study? | 5 |
| Citations & Bibliography: Are in-text citations and quotations appropriately attributed and formatted? Are all citations listed? Is APA or any other format strictly followed? There should be 3-5 references. | 3 |
| Grammar & Spelling: Is the paper without any spelling and grammatical errors? | 3 |
| Submission on Time: Is the paper submitted by the due date? | 2 |

The paper should be 5 pages long, typed with 1.5 spacing using 12 Times New Roman or similar font. For the citations and bibliography, APA format is preferred but any other standard format will be accepted. A rough draft of the paper can be emailed to me in advance for my feedback and comments. The final paper has to be submitted by the due date. Late submissions will not be accepted.
