Maru uses job advertisements placed in the local paper which helps recruit and hire its staff.
- What are the common mistakes Jo Collier says people make in recruiting?
Jo collier states that the common mistakes people do during recruitment are that they do not write their job advertisements correctly as it consists of a lot of text with no points. They do not take time to screen the applicants, and even when carrying out interviews, they do not allocate sufficient time to carry out correct job interviews.
- What are the four key factors Jo mentions regarding how to word your job ads and what to include in them?
Jo collier states that to have a valid job ad, it has to be worded correctly to capture the attention of readers. She says that an advert should have to use the AIDA model, which consists of attention, interest, detail and action. With those four factors in place, then the advertisement serves its purpose by communicating the intended information to the readers and capturing their attention.
