Bullying and Harassment
This is my topic of choice because I feel the bullying is dangerous and can cause very harmful effects to every party tangled (Notelaers et al.,24). I know what bullying is like since I witnessed my little sister being intimidated through her classmates in school. In 2010, when I was in my kindergarten-12th grade schooling, a lot bothered me. Bullying and harassment were rampant in the school. I recollect it as if it was yesterday. We were in a similar school with my little sister thought she was in the 3rd grade, and I was in the 12th grade. That day, I was concluding my evening class, and my little sister was to waiting for me so that we can travel together. I saw it occur with my naked eyes through the window of my class. One of the boys approached my sister Sarah. I was shocked to hear him bull my sister by calling her names and mocking her that she was ugly and merely cared around herself.
“Whom do you think you are, Sarah? You’re ugly, and you care only about yourself,” then Tom, the bully pushed Linda to the ground. However, the classmate wanted to see Sarah cry. “Look at you, and you are so skinny, Sarah? You even don’t have friends to go with them at home,” the bully said sardonically. Sarah started crying, and I couldn’t bear seeing her cry like a baby. I tried to go and protect my sister, but it was too late, the intimidator had already run away.
“Who is the boy Sarah?” I asked Sarah. She explained to me that the boy was the bully of their class. I felt sorry for my sister. What could I have done? I wish that I could have just had a chance to defend my sister. My sister was so miserable, and she didn’t feel like she had any associates. I wondered why. Many lives have been changed majorly because of bullying.
Funny enough, my mum signed her up for karate so she could defend herself if she ever wanted to, and we told her that “she should discern that the mean things that the children that were bullying said were not factual.” Even if she knew that the wicked things that they said were not factual, she said that it “didn’t upset any less.” She still felt like she didn’t have some associates. Once persons in her class clogged intimidation her, it was still a long time before someone started singing with her at the schoolyard. Occasionally someone starts hounding her again, and I cannot trust that individuals are bullying her. She’s my little sister, and it makes me so annoyed and sad that she’s getting intimidated so frequently.
In conclusion, think the best way to stop bullying is by informing an adult that you know, and you can trust or try to stand up for yourself. One thing one can likewise do to feel well is talking about the moods or find an interest that he or she relishes. If you are a bully, you can help yourself too, ask yourself,” Why is the person I’m bullying deserving this? For people who see their friend getting bullied and act like nothing is happening, or you laugh at it. What are you? A fake or a friend? For people who are always on the bullies side. Pick the right side, not the wrong! Can we take power away from a bully instead of giving the bully more and more by being on their side! So why bully?
