Voice in writing
The journal offers a profoundly insightful discussion regarding the sensitive topic of writing. I agree that indeed writing remains a skillful activity that requires utmost sharpness to capture and express information in a way that makes excellent sense to those that come across the same. Proper writing requires skillful mastery of the craft to understand both the creation of topics organization of work and presentation of the same. I further concur with the article that excellent writing begins with the selection of an appropriate topic that follows adequate research to identify the facts. Later, the writer ought to organize their ideas such that there is a smooth flow of ideas from one paragraph to another (Driscoll & Powell, 2016). Often great writers have used the approach of having an introductory part that gives information regarding the work and ends with a solid thesis statement to provide readers with the concept of the work. Body paragraphs are used to explain the work, while a summative conclusion is used to tie the discussion to the thesis or theme of discussion.
I further agree with the proper usage of appropriate voice in writing. It informs the writer on the correct choice of words alongside the correct usage of sentence structures. In so doing, the readers can empathize with the writer and resonate with the information relayed. Importantly, excellent writers excel in proper usage of grammar and punctuation. It makes the work easily readable and understandable at the same time. Lack of appropriate punctuation or grammar might pass the wrongful information as the reader struggles to understand the flow (Driscoll & Powell, 2016). Importantly, however, I would caution writers without exceptional experience from breaking the rules to create fluency through breaking Standard English to introduce new words. The skill requires a lot of experience to execute correctly as it might pass the wrong information
