- Introduction
MINIMAX CRT SYSTEM can collect data from the fire control center and show them in a PC monitor in the form of a dynamic icon and information dialog. This system can process fire, fault, and shut off alarm information real-time, save and print history records, and automatically show popup window of detector information. The system also has advantages of plan popup, different alarm in different colors, and so on. It can offer a direct, quick, and efficient way to get the information in time, and is very helpful for inspection and protection.
- Running Environment
Before operating MINIMAX CRT SYSTEM, the user must read this manual overall. People unauthorized are forbidden to operate this system.
The revelation of the screen display must be set to 1152*864 to make the best showing of the system. The Compute connects to the fire control center by RS232 line on its COM1 port. Another end of the RS232 line is connected with the PC-Printer card of the fire control center. According to transport protocols of RS232, the length of the RS232 line should be less than 15m. Also, the shielded wire is preferred to ensure the integrality of data.
After MINIMAX CRT SYSTEM has been installed, all the status of detectors is showing OK. So it is necessary to make fire control center reset hardware * to transfer complete data to MINIMAX CRT SYSTEM.
- Operation
3.1. Login and logout
There are two modes to log in, one is user mode, and the other is Admin mode. The difference between user mode and Admin mode is shown in 3.2.1.
Users can choose name and input the relevant password to login.
3.2. Display Window
Display Window mainly includes three parts:
- Alarm information display table and count. —>①
- Plan choose tree, parameter setup button, and history record operation button. –>②
- Plan and detector information display window. —>③
3.2.1. Alarm Information Display and Count
The alarm information display table can show panel zone NO.,detector NO., information status, information content, date, and time. There are four kinds of information status: fire, fault, shut-off, reset, and another status.
Alarm information count includes fire count, fault count, shut-off count, and another status count. The reset information can reduce relevant alarm information count on a certain detector. When fire control center reset hardware, all counter would be set to zero and ready for the new count.
Button “Clear Data” can clear up all data showing in the table and restart alarm information showing.
When users click the information line in the display table by mouse, a plan relevant to the selected detector will show in the plan display window.
Different alarm information can be shown in a different color, which can be set in the setup dialog.
3.2.2. Plan Choose Tree
Example:
Users can select different plan names in the plan tree to show them in the plan display window. There are three main subtrees in plan choose tree: Main powerhouse, Administration Building, and Coal Handling Building.
3.2.3. Plan and Detector Information Display Window
Users can choose to display a plan by selecting a plan select tree. All the icons in the plan indicate the information of detectors. They can show the location, type, and status of the detector.
3.2.4. Icon of Detector
There are some kind of icons in this CRT system, which include an explosion-proof smoke detector, smoke detector, explosion-proof heat detector, heat detector, hydric detector, flame detector, manual button, horn/light, alarm lamp, warning light, delay button, liner heat detector, and module box as follow. There are four kinds of displaying status for every icon shown in the plan. Green means OK, yellow means shut-off, flicker yellow means fault, flicker red means fire.
Name | Symbol of Equipment | Name | Symbol of Equipment |
Explosion-proof Smoke Detector | Horn/ Light
Explosion-proof Heat Detector | Delay/Release Button
Smoke Detector | Linear Heat Detector
Heat detector | Module Box
Flame Detector | Alarm Lamp
Manual Button | Gas Light |
3.2.5. Information Popup Window
When the user puts the arrow of the mouse on the detector’s icon, there will be one blue popup window shown on the screen, which includes some information about the detectors, such as location, equipment, panel zone NO, group NO., status and so on.
3.2.6. Detector Information Dialog
Users can single click the icon of the detector, and there will be information dialog about this detector showing on the window. Details are as follows.
If this detector belongs to specific module box, there will be information shown on the bottom of the dialog. Such as “This detector belongs to module box: module box name.”
When there is alarm information coming, information dialog will show it with a particular color to highlight. Fire information will be shown in a red background, and fault information will be yellow.
Module box Information Dialog:
User can single click icon of module box. There will be module box information dialog showing on the window. This dialog includes module box name and module information detail. There is also color sign for different status: red for fire, orange of fault, and blue for shut-off.
3.3. Parameter Setup Dialog:
Click the “setup data “button to enter the parameter setup dialog. The setup dialog will be different by mode of login.
3.3.1 User Mode and Admin Mode:
If it is in user mode, setup dialog is as follow:

Another way to restore the database is to reinstall the software.
Users can reset the password of user mode and Admin mode login. After restoring the database or installing software, the login password will come back to the original status.
3.3.2. Communication Information, Path of History Record Saving and Auto-print Setup:
Users can get communication information for a computer setting. The main data is store.
Users can choose where to save history records on record output path setup.
Users can choose whether auto-print or not on Auto-print setup.
