School-based intervention program

The main aim of this study is to illustrate a school-based intervention program that helps children in developing personal and socio-emotional needs. In this context, the program to be included is the resolving conflict program for children. A holistic and problematic relationship characterizes student’s interaction. Each day, children face difficulties from their parents’ home, friends in school and teachers as well. The benefit of utilizing this program is to promote resilience among children in developing their socio-emotional needs (P.D. & E., 2020). As such, parents and teachers alike have to form a collaborative structure through which their socio-emotional needs can be supported. Through this program, children learn the virtue of empathy which reinforces their interpersonal skills that mitigate specific difficulties that arise from children interaction. Besides, through this program, children become less aggressive and more socially equipped to handle conflicts. As a result, their personal and social functioning develops (P.D. & E., 2020).

Cultural consideration

In this context, children come from different family backgrounds with different cultural beliefs. While incorporating the resolving conflict intervention program, it is essential to understand that different children will react to conflict differently. The analogy is based on the various beliefs which shape their self-esteem and sense of relating external and internal concepts (Eiraldi, Mautone, & Power, 2020). Children should indulge in activities where they learn about different cultures other than the one they come from.

Outcomes from the intervention

Based on the nature of the intervention, there are a lot of benefits that result from this school-based intervention. Some of the outcomes include practical problem-solving skills. Children can know the type of problem emanating, then device a solution from the same. Reduces negative competitive nature that brings conflict between children (“Resolving Conflict Creatively Program (RCCP)”, 2020). At the end of the intervention, children gain a sense of empathy and self-control in handling issues relating to the conflict. As a result, they become socially capable of corporate with other children in forming valuable relationships.

Evidenced-based practice in resolving conflict

The resolving conflict for children interaction intervention incorporates evidence-based practice. In this case, it utilizes positive behaviour support as a delivery intervention for children, the notion, is to create a system’s approach in enhancing ways in which children develop values (“Resolving Conflict Creatively Program (RCCP)”, 2020). Activities such as plays are initiated where children from different cultures interact and form relationships. Doing this makes it possible for them to understand how children solve conflicts.

Risk

The intervention considers risk as an entity that influences and changes the socio-emotional condition of children. Some of the risks that result from conflicts are such as trauma when children are exposed to violent scenarios (P.D. & E., 2020). It includes different contexts, such as from family or school environments. There is community risk which causes distress and lack of parental care.

Resilience

These are the specific factors that help in mitigating the risks mentioned above. The community should develop a warm and caring idea through which deep distress is promoted. Parents with good children nurturing skills help in developing empathy in children. They start to understand how different children think.

Reducing risk through the intervention

Resolving conflict creativity program ensures that different activities such as cultural education are utilized in making the children understand one another. The intervention makes children independent to the point that they resist external factors that promote conflict (Justice & Violence, 2020). Children are trained to control the impulses they have. Doing this makes it possible for them to be themselves and handle conflict in the right way. When a productive relationship is developed, children will not risk undergoing trauma or stress.
