Exposure to toxic substances and disease

The objective of paper is to investigate the association of exposure to toxic substances and disease. Choose interesting components from each category list below. At least one component from each category should be chosen, and those three should be related. For example, ‘polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)’ from toxic substances – ‘in utero exposure’ from exposure pathway – ‘asthma’ from disease. Then search papers that studied on your interested topic using (PAHs – in utero – asthma) as key word. Google scholar is very powerful search engine for research articles. Find the strong scientific evidences from the 5-8 peer-reviewed journal articles that studied on the subjects, support your main theme. Finding the best references is the key to the excellent research paper. You can download the articles from Fresno State Henry Madden Library.

Toxic substances: pick only one specific substance from the list

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
Endocrine disruptors (Bisphenol A, Bisphenol S, PFOA)

Exposure pathway/window of exposure at lifetime:

In utero exposure (exposure during pregnancy)
Childhood exposure (infant, toddler, teenagers, adolescent)
Dietary exposure (Ingestion of foods, drinks)

Diseases:

Asthma
Birth defects
Diabetes
Obesity, high blood pressure

FORMAT: MLA

The word limit is 2,000-2,500 words and 5-8 peer reviewed journal articles

If the prompt is confusing: choose one topic from each section but they have to go together ,for example the paper has to be about a disease you get from exposure to a toxic substance. Can only pick from the list provided
