Instructions on writing a paper.
- Students are required to select ONE topic from the required list of topics that interest you. The list of topics is shown at the bottom of this page.
- Follow the steps below to receive credit for the review paper writing assignment:
- a) You must review and analyze one topic using at least three different scientific articles related to the same topic for the homework assignment. You then write a 1000+ words discussion essay about the topic and then submit it via “Turnitin” which is located in the Assignment folder.
- b) No point will be given to your homework assignment if you submit your paper to your instructor via email attachment.
If you have problem with this “Turnitin” software, you should call the “HELP DESK” to ask for assistance before the due date.
For example:
Paper assignment, a minimum of 1000+ words discussion essay. Words count should not count the title of your paper, citations presented in the text and list of references.
- c) Your paper must be a typed double-spaced document (use characters = 11 or 12 font size). Word count should be listed in your paper before your name, course title, and title of your paper.
- d) Points will be deducted if your paper directly copied (more 30%) from the journal’s statements or words of the original authors without paraphrasing the statements.
- e) NO points will be given if your paper does not include citations within the text and properly cited full references at the end of your paper. APA style reference is acceptable.
- f) To properly citing a reference in the text, you must list the author(s) last name followed by the year it published. Listing your references at the last page of your article, you begin with the name of all the authors, title of the article, Journal title, the journal volume, pages and year published.

- g) The journal articles of the topic you choose to review may come from published, peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as*

*NOTE. Please do not use articles from newspapers such as LA time, Newsweek or Time magazine, Wall Street Journal, or any Health magazines, etc.
