The word halal has meaning: things that can and can be done because they are free or not bound by the conditions that prohibit them. Halal food means: food that God allows to eat. Halal food is reviewed from three things, namely halal form / substance, halal way of obtaining it and halal manner of processing. God has determined the kinds of foods that are legalized. The word thayyiban or thayyib indicates something really good. The plural form of this word is thayyibaat derived from thaba-yathibu-thayyib-thayyibah in several meanings, namely: zaka wa thahara (holy and pure), jada wa hasuna (good and good), ladzdza (delicious, delicious), and halal (lawful). Basically, the word thayyib means something that feels good to the senses and souls, or anything that is not hurtful and disgusting. So, what is meant by thayyib is that which makes good the physical, spiritual, intellectual and moral. Opposition to the word thayyib is khabits (the plural form of khabaits) which is something that is disgusting and can damage a person’s physical, psychological, mental and moral. The Word of God swt. about halal and nutritious foods in Surah An-Nahl verse 114 as follows. فَكُلُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللهُ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا واَشْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاُد what is the good thing that Allah has given you and be thankful for the favor of God, if you worship only him. Some of the following types of foods are lawful: a. All kinds of foods are not banned by God and His Messenger. b. All kinds of food that is not dirty and not disgusting. c. In the Commentary of Ibn Kasir, it is stated that the essence of gratitude is to preserve and develop it from extinction from the surface of the earth and to meet the nutritional needs of mankind. In the care and development of animals or plants the Muslims are subject to the laws of God, such as their zakat provisions and social functions. Thanking God for the food means thanking him for using it, preserving it and developing it according to God’s instructions, for it is He who gives it grace and pleasure. Every believer should obey the rules of Allah Almighty if he is truly worshiping Allah. He must obey his command and stay away from his prohibition. Consuming halal foods can bring many benefits. One of the benefits of consuming halal food is that of Allah. if God will answer us, surely Allah will grant our prayer. Note the following hadith! Meaning: From Abu Hurairah, he said, Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: “Allah is good and does not receive anything but good; Apostle! Eat from everything that is good and be blessed with virtuous practices (Q.S. Al-Mu’minun: 51). “And Allah said:” O you who believe! Eat of that which is good, of what We have given you. ”(Q.S. Al-Baqarah 172). Then he told of a man who had traveled a long way, with gray hair full of dust. She raised her hands to the sky and said, “My Rabb, my Rabb” for her food is illegal, her clothing is illegal and she is full of illegal things, so how can her prayers be answered? ” (Muslim HR, as in the book of Arbain Nawawiyah). In the hadith it is explained that Allah swt. is just accepting something good. Therefore, if we consume food, then what we eat must be good. If we consume bad food, of course God will not hold us back. Especially if what we eat is illegal food. God will not accept the deeds of worship we do. God also will not accept the prayers of those who consume illegal food. In the hadith it is also stated that people who consume illegal food will not be answered by Allah swt. This means that those who will be answered by Allah are those who consume halal food. Therefore, let us familiarize ourselves with halal foods. Good halal form, halal how to get it and halal how it is processed. Illegal food is anything that the law prohibits to consume, and when it is consumed will bring sin except under compulsion, as well as much madhrat from its wisdom. Illegal food in Islam is divided into two types, namely: • Some are banned for its sake. This means that the source of the food is illegal from the source, such as: carcass, blood, pig, dog, room, and more. • Some are banned for reasons that are not related to their taste. He meant the origin of the food was lawful, but he became illegal because of a very unrelated cause. Examples: the food that comes from stealing, the wages of adultery, the gift of shamanism. As for the food banned in Islamic law, the following are: 1. Bangkai Bangkai are all animals that die without slaughtering the Shaykh and are not the result of hunting. As Allah says, QS. Al-Maidah: 3 Types of carcasses based on the above verses: • Al-Munhaniqoh, which is the animal that died of choking. • Al-Mauqudzah, which is a beast that dies from a severe blow. • Al-Mutaroddiyah, which is an animal that died from falling from a high place. • An-Nathihah, which is an animal that dies from being hit by another animal. • animals that die from being eaten by wild animals. • All animals that die without slaughter, such as dietrum. • All slaughtered animals do not read the book. • All animals are sacrificed to God. • All parts of the animal’s body are cut / separated from the body. However, there are 3 halal carcasses that are eaten: 1. Fish carcass, because it is a water animal and has gone on to explain that all water animals are halal except for frogs. 2. Grasshopper. According to Ibn ‘Umar’s marble hadith’ It is lawful for us to have two carcasses and two bloods.The two carcasses are fish and grasshoppers. And as for both blood and liver, ” (HR. It is based on the hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad and Ashhabus Sunan except An-Nasa`iy, that the Prophet said, “Slaughter for the fetus is the slaughter of its mother.” This means that if a slaughtered animal is pregnant, then the fetus in its stomach is lawful to eat without having to be slaughtered again. 2. Blood The blood that flows and flows. This is explained in surah Al-An’am verse 145, Exempting blood that had become flesh like heart and lymph as shown in the recent Ibn ‘Umar hadith. Also excluded from it is blood in the veins after slaughter. 3. Khamar Allah-Subhanahu wa Ta’ala-says: QS. Al-Maidah: 90 And in the hadith of Muslim history of Ibn Umar ra. : “All intoxicants are illegal, and all rooms are illegal.” The same applies to all foods and beverages that can cause a loss of appetite, such as nark0ba of all types and types. 5. All animals that live on animals And in Muslim history, “All animals that eat it are eaten illegally.” Jumhur scholars believe it is illegal based on the above hadith and other hadiths that are related to it. 6. All the birds that have claws All the birds that have strong claws that they prey on, such as: eagles and hawks. Jumhur scholars from among the Four Priests (except Imam Malik) and in addition declared their prohibition based on the hadith of Ibn Abbas ra: who have claws. ” (HR. Muslim) 7. Go ahead. They are animals that eat human or animal poisons, whether they are camels, cows, and goats, or birds, such as: eagles, geese (who eat feces), and some crows. Some problems related to jallalah: 1. Not all animals that eat feces fall into the forbidden category, but those that are banned are those whose food is mostly fatty and rarely eaten. 2. If this is left for a while until the contents of the stomach are clean from the yeast then it is okay to eat it then. 8. Baghol She is a cross-breeding animal between horse and donkey. 9. Dogs Scholars have agreed to eat dogs, among the arguments that show this is that dogs belong to stray animals that have passed the ban. 10. Both the tame and the stray are forbidden to eat cats because they are feral and prey to their fangs.
