Personal Goals
Working in long-term care has earned me an excellent experience. Throughout my stay in the long-term care situated in Toronto, I have set several goals that have to be achieved at some point in life. The experience in Toronto long-term care is mainly based on clients relying on non-verbal communication. The Long-term care facility operates under three formal nurses, with one nurse being on each floor. The goals that I intend to achieve have included the needs of my husband, aging parents, son, and also my age. I am currently taking Italian language classes since most of my clients speak Italian.
First, my aging parents require care that I need to provide. I intend to use the experience gained while working in long-term care to know the needs of the aging population. Besides, my old age is approaching, and I also need to learn about the requirements I will have at an advanced age. Generally, my first goal is to learn how to best care for the aging population.
Moreover, my motivation comes from my caring friends. Therefore, I intend to expand my circle of friends as I grow older. The main aim of increasing the circle of friends is to find colleagues who can be relied upon to start a business in Canada. Canada is perfect for business owing to the high quality of air and food. Besides, most of the friends targeted in my circle are those working in long-term care so that I can better understand the idea of the end of life care.
Most of my target clients speak Italian. Therefore, I have a goal to become fluent in Italian. I am currently taking Italian language classes to perfect my Italian language. I am aiming to be able to communicate with my clients fluently at the end of my placement in the coop.
In sum, the goals that I intend to achieve have included the needs of my husband, aging parents, son, and also my age. The current Italian language classes I am currently taking are aimed at sharpening my skills in the Italian language. Generally, I am committed to seeing all my goals achieved.
