Aslinger and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Sociologist Howard S. Becker invented the phrase “moral entrepreneur” to help people understand the connection between morality and the law and clarify how irregular social groups were identified and established. I find it to be a social problem because Anslinger advocated for the enactment of the nationwide Marihuana Tax Act, which competently prohibited cannabis across the entire nation, and then proceeded on to campaign against marijuana in methods that influenced the consensus that the drug was very addictive, harmful, and initiated significant harm to society.
