AUTOBIOGRAPHY

My life was all good from the time I knew myself. I was born and bred in the streets of Baba Dogo. I was brought up by a single mother as my father passed away before I even realized myself. I have met several challenges growing up but I have overcome most of them.

After my father passed away, my mom was left with four mouths to feed-including hers. I have two siblings who are both older than me. My brother-Isaac-who is ten years older than me, and my sister-Hellen-who is just two years older than me. I can assume I was lucky to be the last in my family as I was my mothers’ favorite. By the time my dad was leaving us, my brother was at least old enough to understand the situation. On the other hand, my sister and I were still too young and thus stubborn. I was worse.

Regardless of the situation, their is one key thing that all parents must adhere to, educating their children. My first day in class was the day I decided to follow my sister to school as I did not want to be left alone at home as my mom went to hustle. “Holy Trinity”, was the name of the kindergarten I attended. Learning and understanding were not a problem for me as I always emerged top of my class even though sometimes I was the second. During that time, one didn’t need to graduate to join class one. I completed my Pre-Unit level and was ready to join the next level.

I guess I had a habit of following my sister everywhere she went. My primary level life wasn’t that appealing. Firstly, I did not join any school at the stipulated time because of bad timing. My elder brother was also going to have his first high school life. He had a higher priority than I did. I was taken to a “house school” to push time a little bit for my mom to raise enough money for my class one.
