To maintain our Company’s decency, Linux Cooperation, as one of the pre-eminent retailers in the country, it is imperative to preserve our policies to par with contemporary procedures and technologies. Unfortunately, our Company’s information systems have hit rock bottom in most recent times. It has come to our notice that there has been an escalation of shadow; IT projects in our Company, indicating that there has been a failure in the Company’s information system. This further indicates that the contemporary information system is outdated, inadequate, and inefficient, necessitating the CEO to ask us to come up with a new functional information system to replace the outdated one. Detailed information regarding the proposed project will be covered in the memorandum below.

Project description
As information is regarded as the backbone of any triumphant organization, there is a need to possess a functional and well-equipped information system. As our Company’s technology methods to manage information have turned out to be insecure, we must ensure that our data’s threats are discovered and blocked. For this reason, I propose an information system that will provide a solution to all these woes. This system will be called “Hurry Quick,” a management information system (MIS).
Because there will be launching a brand-new information system that will affect every member of the Company, it is fair to presume that the stakeholders will be not only managers in the IT department but the entire Linux fraternity. Therefore, the project’s primary stakeholders will be the CEO, the Company president, the managers of various departments, and thousands of the Company’s employees. Other crucial aspects of Hurry Quick MIS system will be analyzed below under the following headlines:
- Functions of the proposed system that are important to our Company
The chief roles of this proposed system will be to control monetary transactions, support decision making, and store viable information the purchases and sales of the Company. Additionally, the proposed data system will assist the Company in using data adequately, reducing the number of workloads, and helping the top managers to examine the number of employees that adhere to the mandatory regulations of the Company.
- Data management
The new system will be programmed in such a way that it will produce regular reports on the daily operations of the Company’s every level of management. Special reports about the Company’s employees will be obtained with ease. However, the most astounding role of the new system will be to provide top managers with feedback about their performance levels and enable them to monitor the Company as a whole. The new system will also display both “actual data” and “planned data,” thus allowing measurement of the Company’s progress towards its goals to be carried out.
- Data types
Data types often specify the type of the variable’s value and the type of operations to be applied to that value without error creation. The operations can be logical, mathematical, or relational. Our system’s data types include Boolean, Character, Float, Integer, and string.
- Storage Methods
The information that the system will gather will be stored using the “on-premises” method of data storage. The method will mainly involve servers that are wholly owned and managed by the Company itself. Therefore, this storage method will provide our Company with significant control over its data and network.
- Data Quality
Hurry Quick MIS systems’ data quality will be extremely high. The data provided by the new system will have all the required traits of an outstanding information system; that is, the information will be accurate, comprehensive, reliable, and relevant.
- The transition of System Functions
As the old system had failed to make good use of data and analyze it effectively, this new one can be used to pinpoint solutions to Linux’s current information turmoil. Also, this system will stimulate significant changes in the organization’s terms.
- Evidence of Feasibility
Hurry Quick MIS system may be new to our Company but not a newly introduced technology. The same information system has been used for a while now by Walmart Co-operation-the supreme retail store in the US. There is no need to explain the success that the mentioned enterprise has now because even a toddler knows that Walmart is exceptionally successful. Imagine, if we allow this information system to be applied in our Company, the fruits that it will bear won’t be imaginable. However, we will first have to evaluate the working of the MIS system for a week before going on with it.
The systems’ speed of relaying data will be timed, its storage capacity measured, its ability to link every member of the Company evaluated, and its manageability determined by our IT experts, who will then give us the feedback. The feedback will then be posted on our Company’s website so that every member will see it. In case it impresses every member, we will have to go on with it and vice versa.
