Introduction:
Diabetes has become one of the chronic diseases of recent era. As per the reports, approximately 350 million people are suffering from diabetes. It causes due to several type of reasons. There are mainly three types of Diabetes, such as- Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes (Dabelea et al. 2014). In Type 1 Diabetes, body cells fail to prepare insulin. In Type 2 Diabetes, body does not produce enough insulin or it does not use the already produced insulin in an appropriate manner. In case of Gestational Diabetes mainly occurs during pregnancy. There are various reasons that are responsible for Diabetes, such as- bad diet, increasing age, fast lifestyle, chemical toxins of food, obesity and so on. Diabetes puts strong negative impact on kidney, eyes and lungs. The increment in the diabetes level has become one of the major concerns for human being (Naughton et al. 2014).
The following article has discussed about the plan and strategies that will be adopted to control the diabetes level.
Plan:
In order to protect the society from this epidemic, a strategies need to b implemented, such as:
Organize free health campaign in the society on every weekend, where experienced doctors will check up the health condition of the patients.
Free eye check up camp will be organized to make sure that the eyes of the patients are functioning properly.
Organize workshops for the diabetic patients and their family members twice in a month where all the reasons and results of diabetes will be discussed. Such awareness camp will be helpful to spread awareness among the society about this chronic disease. It is important for the family members of the diabetic patients to become aware about all the aspects of this chronic disease, as it can ne genetic as well. In these workshops, doctors will be discussing about how to beat diabetes and how to maintain the regular food habits to get rid of this deadly disease (Puhl, Luedicke and Peterson 2013).
Provide free medicines and treatment to the poverty stricken people of the society who are the victims of Diabetes and unable to purchase medicines or avail required treatments.
Organize monthly blood test camp in society for the society people where experienced and responsible lab workers will test the blood of local people.
Organize fitness camp in the society community hall where several types of training for physical fitness will be given, such as- yoga, laughing club, zoomba and so on.
Prepare:
In order to start this diabetes control campaign, the permission of local administrator and local police will be required. Thus in order to propose this plan, a lucrative proposal needs to be presented. The fact needs to be considered while approaching someone for the approval; the proposal must be attractive and easy enough to draw the attention of the respective person. Thus, while writing the application, the language of the application must be simple enough to understand easily. All the relevant information regarding the campaign must be interacted by the application. Proposal must be presented in such a manner that people get easily attracted and excited about the plan. No abbreviation will be used that may lead the application towards an awful conclusion. The writer of the application must present it with honesty and must be capable enough to convince the administrator about the effectiveness of the campaign (Puhl, Luedicke and Peterson 2013).
Partners:
In order to achieve the desired target by organizing the Diabetes control campaign, the organizer needs to collaborate with some organizations that play crucial part in the campaign. They are as follows:
Local doctors and hospital staff members: In order to organize any health check up camp, doctors and health care professionals play the most crucial role. Thus, the organizer of the camp must contact with the doctors and nurses who have expertise in Diabetes (Katz et al. 2015).
Local Path Lab: For the blood test and other tests of the diabetic patients, the organizer of the Diabetes control campaign must collaborate with a local path lab, from where the blood and other tests of the patients will be conducted.
Fitness Experts: In order to organize fitness classes, some fitness experts must be contacted. They will give classes to the patients.
Local Committee: In order to encourage the society people to participate in the health check up camp, the organizers must contact with the local committee of the society. They will be able to motivate their society member to get enlisted in the campaign (Chamie et al. 2014).
Dietitian: It is important to maintain the diet of every diabetic patient. The improvement of their health is mainly based on their regular food habit. Thus, the organizers must associate with an experienced dietitian. She will be looking after the diet plan of the diabetic patient. She will address each of the patients individually and manage their food plan (Rubin 2015).
Conclusion:
As per the previous discussion, it can be concluded in order to help the society to get rid of disease like Diabetes, local people must take the responsibility to organize a regular health check up camp, fitness camp and various workshops to discuss about various aspects of diabetes They must communicate with the local administrator and local authority about the agenda. After availing their permission, the organizers must associate with some doctors and health care professionals who are highly experienced about diabetes and its several consequences. It will help the organizer to achieve the desired target and provide a safe Diabetes free life to people around them.
