the case of hypothyroidism
Hi Nimmy Tom, It is true that most of the older adults, let’s say starting from 56 years and above, usually present themselves in clinics, with the signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism, major depressive disorder, and anemia. The signs of these diseases usually vary. (Adav,et al,2020). For the case of hypothyroidism, it is usually associated with fatigue, weight gain, and constipation in voice change.
On the other hand, major depressive disorder is usually associated with persistent loss of interest in activities, which normally leads to several physical problems and a decline in some functional capacities. In the case of anemia, it is usually caused by a decreased number of red blood cells. This often leads to a decrease in oxygen that the body needs to exhibit fatigue, low energy, and weakness. Therefore, it is always suggested that whenever they present those symptoms, the test for those three diseases should be carried out for effective treatment. (Lushchak et al.,2020)
