PBS segment on Georgia segregation on children with disabilities

According to the PBS segment on Georgia segregation on children with disabilities, the Department of Justice has established that the State of Georgia is promoting segregation of students illegally based on their disabilities and behavioral issue. Some schools choose to offer segregated education based on the abilities and disabilities of the student. This type of education is a more individualized approach to the specific needs of a student with a disability which negatively affects the life of the student. This kind of segregation is damaging to students with disabilities because it can lead to inequality. This is because they might go for long without the services they require, while others get services they do not deserve. A student who is disabled and subjected to such kind of segregation may not be able to perform so well compared to other students.
