The Honourable Alan Lowenthal
A representative for California’s 47th congressional district
108 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Hon. Alan Lowenthal,
I am writing this on behalf of myself and any other loyal citizen with the concern of the environmental conservation and adverse effects of climate change. I am extremely upset by the ignorance of some of us contributing to continued climate change. I am aware, sir, that you have a lot on your plate, but you are the only rescue I found best to consider.
Well, it is understandable that some activities leading to climate change are inevitable. However, many activities can be avoided to rescue our weather patterns. The idea of writing to you has come to cross my mind after some class reading and thorough research about climate change. Also, I have been pressed to write about it after discovering the possible adverse effects of climate change, especially on animal and plant life hence human life. These effects have a significant impact on almost all sectors of the world economy, such as agricultural production, human health, and so on, and so I thought this was the best I could do about it. Below are appropriate solutions to curb the menace of climate change.
Most significant is educating the general public about the importance of environmental conservation measures to promote awareness. Secondly, using your influential position, sir, you can help encourage people to practice afforestation to reduce the accumulation of carbon dioxide gases in the atmosphere. In addition to that, I would request for implementation of a climate action plan to reduce the impact of global climate change on the ocean, which is very significant in the absorption of heat as well as carbon dioxide.
I appreciate you in advance as I wait for your action. Thank you once more for your time.
Sincerely yours,
