Cameron King

Conclusively, Cameron King is a male patient aged forty-two years. He has multiple sclerosis flare-ups whereby the vital signs upon admission were: T – 35.6oC, P – 120, RR – 28, BP – 160/100, SpO2 – 91% on room air. He got assessed upon admission whereby had had the following symptoms: subjective pain rated 8/10, muscle spasms, altered LOC and accessory muscle use. In his past health, he has multiple sclerosis, no known allergies, and no known drug allergies. He was on medications such as fingolimod (Gilenya) 100mg BID (q12h), meclizine (Antivert) 50mg daily (25mg BID), teriflunomide (Aubagio) 7mg daily, baclofen (Lioresal) 40mg daily (20mg BID), and melatonin 5mg daily.

Cameron isolated himself due to fear of flare-ups and having exacerbations, but he took medications well to avoid flare-ups. However, he forgot to take medicine on the previous night which is believed to have caused the flare-ups. Cameron states to be living alone but has good relations with his parents. He considers to be healthy apart from the MS as he does not smoke, do not exercise and drinks alcohol occasionally. He has poor eating habits whereby he feeds on frozen, processed and premade foods.

He was diagnosed to have self-esteem issues due to the negative perception about self, at risk for depression due to isolating himself from the social gatherings and anxiety due to lack of knowledge about the disease. Due to reduced mobility, he is at risk of skin break down, and he tends to take imbalanced nutrition. He is at risk of incontinence whereby the nerves may get damaged due to mobility issues; he may get stress due to inability to perform at work and disturbed sleep pattern due to exacerbation.
